Butinga a offers wide open spaces of mown native grasses to set up your camp site.  You may camp beside the tree lined riverbank or on the more open and spacious river flats.  We do advise camping away from the river and catchment area during wet weather as river levels can rise dramatically and flash flooding can occur.

There are numerous other areas suitable for camp sites and you may choose at your leisure what takes your fancy.

For those that prefer a more elevated location, there are two covered areas higher up in which you can set up your living area with your tents beside it.  These have a magnificent view overlooking the lower river flats and with fantastic views to O'Reilly's and Moran Falls.  These are by all means not the only camping areas.  If you find a spot that takes your fancy, we can clear an area for you to set up camp if it's at all possible to do so.  The possibilities are limitless as it is a vast area of unspoilt natural rural surrounds.
